Have I mentioned that I love this guy??

I hate when people only blog about their kids and never have pictures of themselves. So I am posting lots of pics of me with my little guy. Gosh I love him. I also love this pic because I never see the way I look at him and now that i can see it... I really love it.

Learning love from a child

I almost feel silly calling Sawyer a baby. He is so big!
Everyone always says, "they grow up so fast!", and they do.
When Sawyer was really little he would fall asleep on our chests all the time, then one day we just realized that he was too big and wouldn't do that anymore.
Last night I got to hold him while he was asleep and I cherished it.
He is so sweet and when I look at him it's impossible not to feel the great love god has for all of his children.
I just want to see Sawyer happy!
I have noticed in my own life that sometimes when you want to see someone happy you feel like you need to tell them how to live their life to be happy.
There are things we can do to make life easier, but we all have the choice to be happy whatever our circumstances.
I am going to be happy today! How about you?

Our Little monster

I have loved every part of my life! I loved being single, then dating, then getting engaged, being married with no kids and now being married with a little 7 month old. I make an effort to enjoy each moment I'm currently in.
Having said that, I am REALLY loving all my current moments with Sawyer. He is so much fun and make me smile all day long!!
Yesterday I took him to Cochrans produce in South Ogden and took some cute pics of him seeing pumpkins for the first time.
Did I mention I love my life?

My hunter!

Dave went Elk hunting this last weekend and as you can see it was a success!
My dad is a huge hunter and I think he had fun showing Dave the ropes.
They went up on Friday and checked out the area, watched for elk and waited for the hunt to open Saturday morning.
They woke up early Saturday and hiked to the spot they had marked on the GPS. TEN minutes after sunrise they were spotting a herd. My dad was watching them so Dave thought he'd look the other direction to see if there was anything that way. Well there was and he got all set up, aimed and took ONE SHOT! He did it all by himself! My dad was so proud!
Nice work honey!
We had Elk steaks last night and they were so yummy! Thanks Emily for the yummy marinade recipe.

Welcome to the family.
